What is hypnotherapy?
The process of hypnosis entails being in trance, or a deeply relaxed, but focused state which is like being in a daydream.
Hypnotherapy utilises the power of the subconscious mind. In Freud's psychoanalytic theory of personality, the subconscious mind is a reservoir of feelings, thoughts, urges, and memories that are outside of our conscious awareness. Many of the contents of the subconscious are unacceptable or unpleasant, such as feelings of pain, anxiety, or conflict. According to Freud, the subconscious continues to influence our behavior and experience, even though we are unaware of these underlying influences. It is the part of you that drives a car or walks to the shop even though your mind is wandering to other places. It is also the place where negative, limiting beliefs and old patterns are stored. This is why even when you desperately want to improve yourself; you just keep playing out that old, unfulfilling script.
Hypnosis is thought to work by altering our state of consciousness in such a way that the analytical left-hand side of the brain is turned off, while the non-analytical right-hand side is made more alert. The conscious control of the mind is inhibited, and the subconscious mind made accessable in order to make positive changes.
Benefits of Hypnosis
Hypnosis can be helpful in many ways, from simple relaxation to completely changing your life.

Research even suggests that hypnosis may be able to make your body look younger and enable healing to occur by chanelling your mind to reprogram new cells and instructing them to find the healthiest blueprint to develope.

What makes Mindmakeovers 3 in one system more effective ?
Scientific research has found hypnotherapy to have a success rate of 65-70%. Our program improves vastly on these figures giving a 95% success rate due to the addition of strengthening visualisation exercises and subliminal affirmation recordings which all together, have the effect of reinforcing and stimulating the will power, facilitating our clients to benefit from desired positive changes and long term benefits in their lives.
What are subliminal affirmations and how they work?
A subliminal message is a signal or message designed to pass below (sub) the normal limits of perception. For example it might be inaudible to the conscious mind (but audible to the unconscious or deeper mind). Our sublimal affirmations are carefully worded affirmations relating to the purpose of the hypnotherapy for example, weight loss. These affirmations are positive, subliminal messages embedded in an outer music track bringing you into a mentally relaxed and creative state, allowing you to absorb the affirmation on a very deep level. Subliminal messages work with virtually no effort on your part, the music will relax you and the silent affirmations will be impressed upon your subconscious mind to end self-sabotage and remove limiting beliefs and retrain your mind for total success.
We use stereo confusion, in one ear you will hear the affirmation in the other ear we will play a metaphorical story. However, all you will really notice is a pleasant listening track which will free any psychological blockages, boost your therapy and work deeply on your subconscious.
When should I listen to the subliminal track?
You can listen any time you want but you have to use headphones.
What is creative visualization or guided imagery?
In the past many of us have used our power of creative visualization in a relatively unconscious way. Because of our own deep-seated negative concepts about life, we have automatically and unconsciously expected and imagined lack, limitation, difficulties, and problems to be our lot in life.
The technique offocusing one's thoughts and imagination on an objective with the intention of achieving that objective and to do so consciously is the essence of creative visualization. In our program we use positive creative visualization to strengthen and maintain the will power and focus which empower ours clients to achieve long term benefits and desired changes.
Can These CDs/MP3s Be Used While I Sleep?
It is preferencial to not fall asleep during your hypnotherapy, however this does occasionally happen when we are so relaxed. It is best to sit on a comfortable chair or lie down on a couch without falling totally falling asleep though, as you will get more from it this way.
Of course you must do your visualization exercise when you are awake and the subliminal recording can be listened to at any time that you wish.
How Does Hypnosis Differ from Meditation?
Meditation is a discipline that takes steady practice over a long period of time. The practice involves clearing one's mind over long periods of time by allowing thoughts to pass by while focusing on a point, a mantra, or some other focus. Often breathing exercises accompany this practice. The aim of meditation is to detach from your thoughts, and to experience a deep awareness that your thoughts are not you. One important thing to know about meditation is that it is "content-less." There is no goal aside from the meditation itself. It can lead to many health benefits, including stress relief and peace of mind, but it is not goal-driven.
Hypnosis, on the other hand, is a state of focused attention where the conscious mind is distracted so that work can be done with the unconscious mind directly.
In short, the difference between hypnosis and meditation is that they both bridge the unconscious / conscious interface, with meditation being without content and not goal-driven, while hypnosis has content and is goal-driven.
In fact, a lot of people use the aid of hypnosis to help them develop the discipline to focus on their meditation practice. Hypnosis helps a person create the behaviors that lead to the goals they set for themselves. |
